I recently found a top ten list of advice for pr students. It’s by Elizabeth Albrycht, PR and new social media guru. I love all of her advice, and it is all is very true. Enjoy!

Hello Everyone! My name is Kimberly Johnson, and I will be taking over blogging for the pr.wurk blog. I want to welcome everyone to this blog and share with you my mission and hopes for this blog.

As part of the wurk network, I will bring you the latest and greatest in career advice for working in the public relations industry. I will provide you with information about how to best prepare yourself for a career in public relations, highlight jobs in the PR field, show you how to find the right job and guide you to resources to help you in your career.

I have worked in public relations for about six years now. (Check out my About Me page!) I have done work for non-profits, have worked for a PR agency, now work on the corporate (client) side of things and currently also do freelance PR work. I hope to bring you perspective from all angles. Yet because I am not a “veteran” as others are in the field, I plan to interview others and have guest bloggers bring you perspective from other PR bloggers and veterans in the field.
